This app will give you a much-needed discount at Sephora

Think about what’s missing from your makeup collection. Whether it’s a staple you’re running low on or a big-purchase item you’ve had your eye on for a while, the fact is we can all use a little something from Sephora. And while they tend to have some great deals, (not to mention their awesome rewards program) sometimes there’s something really specific we need to get and can’t quite skirt around having to pay full price, or waiting until said item goes on sale.

Enter Ibotta, a free app that gives you rebates on tons of items. According to the app’s website, to earn said rebates, you simply need to download the app, complete a few fun and easy tasks to start unlocking them. Then, you just scan product barcodes and submit your receipts, and voila – you’ll see rebate money deposited into your bank account within a couple days! Ibotta offers rebates from over 300 supported retailers, from grocers to pet stores, all in one easy-to-use tool.

In Sephora’s case, Ibotta is offering a $5 rebate between now and the deadline of March 3 for single-transaction purchases over $75 at standalone, in-person Sephora stores. You can read the fine print here, but in a nutshell, just make sure you submit your receipt within a week of purchase, and that your total spending excludes any gift-card redemption.
