This teen’s sister made her an anti-dress code shirt after she was made to feel uncomfortable at school

If you’ve got a problem with school dress codes, then you’re going to love this anti-dress code shirt an older sister gave to her younger sister. Grace Villegas, who is 13 years old, wore an off-the-shoulder top to school the other day, and she was super excited (since she bought it herself).

As she told Buzzfeed, while she didn’t get in any formal dress code trouble, teachers did comment on her totally inoffensive shirt and she felt that she was receiving “not nice looks.” So, rather than continue to feel uncomfortable, she changed into an extra shirt to finish out the school day.

When her 18-year-old sister Isabella heard her story, she became understandably angry and came up with a solution.

She immediately created an alternative T-shirt for her sister to put in her locker as backup if she was ever asked to change because of the school’s dress code.

And Isabella’s shirt certainly gets the message across.

It reads:

"Dress Code: Promotes the objectification and sexualization of young bodies, blames the wearer for the onlooker's perceptions/actions, perpetuates rape culture, is B.S."

The side-by-side photo comparison tweet from Isabella has already received over 3,500 likes since March 13th. While some people on Twitter may disagree with the sisters about the appropriateness of Grace’s shirt, we love how these sisters are supporting one another and pointing out the flaws in school dress codes along the way.

Now, where can we get one of Isabella’s shirts for ourselves??
