Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley had a perfect and cry-worthy reunion at the 2018 Golden Globes

In 2014, the world was forever changed with a teenage romance for the ages when The Fault In Our Stars was released and two young actors were launched into stardom. And while nearly four years have passed since the famous John Green novel became a world-renowned movie, Sunday night’s Golden Globes brought together those two star-crossed lovers once again. In case you missed it, allow me to catch you up: Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley had the most perfect reunion at the Golden Globes, and the photo evidence might just make you cry like the first time you watched TFIOS all over again.

Elgort and Woodley stole all of our hearts when they played Hazel and Gus in the tearjerker movie The Fault In Our Stars, and while the movie was a mere work of fiction, it still definitely served its purpose in reminding everyone just how fragile life is, and how important it is to cherish every moment we’re given. Especially when those moments come in the form of adorable photos.

Seriously, guys, Elgort and Woodley have both come such a long way since their TFIOS days, that seeing them back together again might just make your heart burst. Something that we all need on this most Monday-ist of Mondays.

Oh, and they didn’t just pose for an adorable photo together. The two also greeted each other on the red carpet while Woodley was giving a poignant interview about the #TIMESUP movement.

But if you need even more nostalgia to hold you over until 5 p.m., allow me to help you out. Elgort and Woodley both expressed their deep passions for the #TIMESUP initiative Sunday night, and Elgort even retweeted one of Woodley’s posts about her date for the evening, Calina Lawrence. According to The Los Angeles Times, Lawrence “is an enrolled member of the Suquamish Tribe and an advocate for Native Treaty Rights, the ‘Mni Wiconi’ (Water is Life) movement led by the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe and the #NoLNG253 movement led by the Puyallup Tribe.”

Clearly, Elgort and Woodley have a pretty special friendship and continue to support each other as they navigate this confusing thing called adulthood.

Here’s to you, Gus and Hazel! Some things never change.
