Here’s another reason to love everything Beyoncé did in 2016 — as if “Lemonade” wasn’t enough
There’s no doubt that 2016 was the Year Of Beyoncé. We were already in love with the singer and overall superstar. But then she gave us Lemonade, her SuperBowl performance, and the Formation World Tour. But just in case you needed it, here’s yet another reason to love Queen Bey.
We just found out that Beyoncé topped the year’s list of Most Charitable Celebs.
And she’s in good company — other members of the list include Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato. The list, called “Celebs Gone Good,” was pulled together by DoSomething.org, to honor stars who use their fame to help bring about social change.
In 2016 alone, Beyoncé was able to bring awareness to causes like Black Lives Matter, the water crisis in Flint, and the importance of gender equality.

During the MTV VMAs, she used her platform to spotlight the mothers of Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Oscar Grant, and Trayvon Martin — also allowing having them appear in the music videos for her Lemonade album. And if that isn’t enough, she was able to raise over $82,000 for the Flint water crisis when she encouraged fans to donate while buying her tour tickets.
Other familiar names on the list included Lin-Manuel Miranda, Shailene Woodley, and John Cena. But of course, its’ no surprise that Beyoncé is topping the list — the Queen of Pop can do no wrong as far as we’re concerned.
