Anne Hathaway is a kinder, gentler Miranda Priestly in ‘The Intern’ trailer
Remember when Anne Hathaway played the put-upon assistant in The Devil Wears Prada? Of course you do. Well, she’s gotten a major raise.
In her new movie, The Intern, she’s the fashion boss, and her intern? Well, it’s Robert De Niro.
In the Nancy Meyers penned and directed film, De Niro plays Ben, a 70-year-old guy who takes on an internship to escape a boring retirement. He works for Hathaway’s Jules Austin, head of a mega-successful online fashion site, who now finds herself struggling to keep control under immense pressure.
It looks sweet and funny, and boasts a cast of familiar comic actors like Girls‘ Andrew Rannells and Workaholics’s Adam DeVine. We’re hoping The Intern, which comes out September 25th, will scratch our itch for The Devil Wears Prada 2—at least for a little while.
