Oh, happy day! Anna Kendrick is writing a book!

Our Internet BFF, Anna Kendrick has some rad news for us: She’s writing a book! That’s right — the Pitch Perfect actress we could totally see ourselves getting dranks and tacos with on the daily is writing a collection of autobiographical essays that we’re sure are going to be wickedly hilarious, endlessly relatable, and irresistibly quotable. We don’t know very much about the project, except that it’s going to be published by Touchstone, and it’ll be on bookshelves in fall of 2016 (I know, I know, this feels like a million lightyears away). Also, according to Entertainment Weekly, we can expect to read about Anna’s early years in New England and what it was like to star in Pitch Perfect.

In a release, Anna Kendrick stated:

Anna’s right —if her book is anything like her laugh-until-it-really-hurts Twitter, then we’re in for a huge treat. Even though the humble actress describes her book as a way to “showcase [her] ineptitude, [and] pettiness,” we have a feeling the autobiography will be super awesome, smart, and a remarkable way to connect with her many, many fans (including us, of course).

Queen Anna Kendrick will indeed be joining the ranks of female writers and comedians who have also penned memoirs and autobiographies, including Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Chelsea Handler, Mindy Kaling, and Kelly Oxford. We’ve scarfed down these literary treasures, and we’re confident we’ll be ALL about Anna’s writing. Can it be fall 2016 already, though?
