Anna Kendrick had a pretty dope response for why female celebs are always asked to weigh in on feminism and sexism

When asked about feminism and sexism, Anna Kendrick had a pretty great response that everyone should hear.

Kendrick is the cover star for Glamour UK’s February issue and she’s not scared to answer the tough questions. During her interview the Pitch Perfect actress opened up about feminism and sexism and her answers are perfect.

The 31-year-old actress was asked if she thinks celebrities have a responsibility to use their platforms to talk about tough “issues” and she thinks it’s better left to the professionals.

"Well, it's weird, isn't it, because I feel like why would anybody want my 'expert opinion' on any of these topics?" Kendrick told Glamour UK. "If you want to learn about intersectional feminism, read Roxane Gay, don't ask me, you know?"

“I’m being asked to speak on these things when I’m trying to learn about them myself,” she added.

Read Roxane Gay? That’s a wonderful idea, since Gay is actually a feminist writer, professor, editor and commentator.

Man, we just love Kendrick’s honesty about what she does and does not know at a high level.

The Accountant star also talked about the wider issue of sexism in Hollywood and yes, her answer is again flawless.

"It shouldn't be the most important conversation about sexism — because no one really wants to f**king hear actors talk about this, because we're in such positions of privilege," the Maine native explained.

“I would love to hear more about sexism that exists in other fields and how we can address that — but we keep getting asked about it,” she concluded.

Wow, Kendrick’s responses to these questions is so refreshingly honest and we are BIG fans of everything she said.

You go girl!
