Anna Faris revealed the secret to successfully co-parenting with Chris Pratt
Anna Faris and Chris Pratt are starting to navigate life beyond their former marriage. And we’re happy to hear that it seems like they’re doing it in a positive way — which is important, since they share a son together. Jack Pratt five-years-old, and it sounds like he has incredibly loving and attentive parents by his side.
In fact, that’s one of the main goals that Faris and Pratt have in their co-parenting plan. The two appeared to have an amicable split and also seem to have a ton of respect for each other (Pratt even wrote the introduction to Faris’ book, Unqualified). They’ve both filed the official paperwork for divorce, and according to E! News, they’re in the midst of seeking joint legal and physical custody of Jack.
Faris sat down with E! News to reveal how things have been going, and it sounds like she’s figured out the secret to a successful co-parenting relationship — at least for her family.
"We constantly reinforce what a great kid he is," Faris said.
She noted that they of course discipline him when necessary, but that both she and Pratt try to maintain as positive and loving an environment around their son as possible.
"I think the key is surrounding him with a lot of joy and happiness, which he has a ton of," she added. "I think it's those small moments in life, when your kid says something funny [...] And family and friends."
It sounds like Faris and Pratt are doing the best they can in what is likely a new and sometimes confusing situation (because let’s be real, breakups are hard, no matter who you are or what the circumstances). Way to be #coparentingGOALS, guys!
