Anna Faris got real about relationships, saying, “know your worth”

We admit it: We’re still bummed about the Anna Faris/Chris Pratt split. And on the latest episode of her podcast, Unqualified, Faris got real about relationships, telling a caller to “know your worth,” after saying she learned it herself, the hard way.

"Life is too short to be in relationships where you feel this isn’t fully right or somebody doesn’t have your back, or somebody doesn’t fully value you," Faris told the caller. "Don't be afraid to feel your independence if things aren’t right."

Hear, hear!

And of course, we can’t help but wonder if Faris is referring to her relationship with a certain someone — but there’s no way to know 100%.

Putting our own feelings aside (because they really don’t matter in this situation) Faris’s advice is something to take to heart. Listening to your gut and maintaining your independence and self-worth while in a relationship is crucial, and it’s something that even the most empowered among us can struggle with.

She went on to say, "I made that mistake, I think, a little bit, like ‘I’m checking my relationship off the list’ and if that would be the final piece of advice I could give you, that would be know your worth, know your independence," Faris said after admitting she often lost herself in her past relationships.

Faris and Pratt decided to legally separate earlier this month after eight years of marriage, telling fans they wish to keep things private for the sake of their son.

But Faris did thank listeners of her podcast at the beginning of the episode for sending her so much love during this trying time. We definitely get the sense that Faris made the right decision for her own wellbeing, and that softens the overall blow. If you’re not happy in a situation, you have to do what’s right for you.

We’re with you, Anna!
