Anna Faris gave an update on how co-parenting with Chris Pratt is going: “There aren’t rules to this”

When Anna Faris and Chris Pratt split, the world mourned. In the wake of their breakup, Faris said she struggled with being seen as “relationship goals” with Pratt on social media when that wasn’t the whole truth. More recently, Faris gave an update on how she and Pratt are doing as co-parents. And while this new phase of their relationship still sounds pretty ideal, we’ll take a beat before jumping in to label them as “co-parenting goals” or “ex goals.”

"What Chris and I try to do is to communicate openly," Anna Faris told Women's Health. "We reiterate that there aren't rules to this. We have a lot of love and friendship, and our big goal is to protect Jack. I cherish my family, my close friends, my child — that makes the rest of it worth it."

In a behind-the-scenes Instagram clip from her Women’s Health shoot, Faris shared that she now has a broader definition of the word ~relationship~ than she did in her twenties.

“I wish that I could tell my younger self to trust in the future, to be a little bit more confident, to be a little less jealous,” she revealed in the video. “Recognize that there are bigger ideas out there in terms of friendships and relationships…I think that’s one one of the gifts of getting older, sort of recognizing that there are different priorities.”

At the end of the day, her divorce and her ever-evolving definition of a relationship have not changed her desire to seek and find love.

"I love love! Like all of us, I need a sense of human connection and intimacy," she told the mag. "At the end of a workday I feel exposed and kind of raw. I want to be with someone I can confess to, and who can confess to me."

Shoutout to women like Faris for continuing to be 1000% real, transparent, and unfiltered.
