After nearly a decade of anticipation and a lot of fan theories, the season finale of Game of Thrones aired last night, May 19th, and we have so many thoughts. While most fans were hopeful the series would deliver a satisfying end to the epic saga, the finale—and Season 8 in general—was extremely divisive.
From Tyrion’s continued string of bad ideas, to Jaime’s final decision to return to Cersei’s side, to Dany’s arguably clunky turn into the Mad Queen and surprising death at Jon’s hand, many feel that Game of Thrones failed its most major characters.
