Angelina Jolie’s gray princess gown might be her best look ever
You’ve likely noticed that Angelina Jolie does not make regular red carpet appearances. But when she does, she makes sure that no one can miss her razor-sharp sartorial skills.
Stepping out at the New York premiere of her latest film, First They Killed My Father, Angelina shut it down in a frothy gray Christian Dior Couture gown. The airy strapless number featured a two-tone mille-feuille pleated bustier that transitioned downward into a full-bodied skirt.
This being a princess gown, she couldn’t just settle for any old jewels. So naturally, Angelina wore plenty of Dior diamonds.
Oh la la!
As a member of the (unofficial) best-dressed squad, the red carpet veteran is better known for her alluring ensembles and overall va-va-voom effect. Meaning that some may find this stately princess dress a bit different for her. But considering just how stunning Angie looks in this Dior number, our only question is: Why doesn’t she wear more of these gowns?
To polish off the regal look, Angelina opted for a raspberry lip, smokey eye, and contour that would spark envy even from the most avid contour users. Also — note the yellow flower in her hair, which she and the rest of her kiddos all sported on the red carpet (she’s had the kids tag along at many press tour events recently).
If you’re feeling a bit of déjà vu looking at this gown, then you’re not alone. The elegant gray number bares certain similarities to Jennifer Lawrence’s own Christian Dior Couture light gray gown that she donned earlier this week in New York City. They’re not exactly the same, but they do share the same ethereal-minded Maria Grazia Chiuri vein.
Like we said before: Princess gowns may not be Angelina Jolie’s go-to style, but after seeing her in this look, they should be.
