Angela Bassett just joined Marvel’s upcoming “Black Panther” movie, and we’re so excited
This just in! The gorgeous Angela Bassett has joined the cast of Marvel’s Black Panther, and we’re dying to find out more about her role. According to Variety’s report, Bassett is set to play the lead character’s, Chadwick Boseman (T’Challa/Black Panther), mother and we’re intrigued.
Recently deemed as the “hottest woman in the game,” by her lovely husband Courtney Vance, we can’t wait to see the ageless beauty star in one of the most anticipated films of 2018. While this isn’t Bassett’s first trip down comic book lane — she appeared in DC Comics’ Green Lantern alongside Ryan Reynolds — we’re still excited to see her take this role on!
But, what makes this such a big deal, you ask? Black Panther is the first black Marvel superhero getting their own major blockbuster movie!
Along with Bassett and Boseman, the film has quite the all-star cast on its hands! Helmed by Creed’s Ryan Coogler, actors Michael B. Jordan, Forest Whitaker, and the stunning Lupita Nyong’o will have some major screen time, too!
Oh, but the good news just keeps rolling in…
The epic project has a launch date of February 16th, 2018! And, while that’s a little over a year from today, at least we have hard date to look forward to. And we can’t wait to see Angela and the entire Black Panther cast in action!
