Starbucks’ first cocktail is intense and obviously very caffeinated

We might be just a tad excited about the fact that Starbucks just introduced a cocktail. Yes, seriously!

The Espresso Cloud IPA is the franchise’s latest addition to their Evenings menu, and it’s exactly what it sounds like — a combination of craft beer and espresso.

The drink is made by shaking espresso over ice with orange chunks and a hint of vanilla, and pouring that foam on top of the beer. The remaining espresso is served as a shot alongside the beer.

We don’t know about you, but we need one IMMEDIATELY.

The Espresso Cloud is a “a truly interactive and unique beverage experience,” according to Justin Burns-Beach, who led Starbucks’ Research & Development team in creating the drink.

As the name suggests, Starbucks Evenings stores aren’t your typical coffee chain locations, so you may not be able to get your espresso-beer fix everywhere. The menu options vary depending on the area, but Starbucks Evenings menu includes a selection of sparkling, red, and white wines, and craft beers. You can also choose from appetizers like truffle mac and cheese or bacon-wrapped dates.
