And now here’s a guy eating the spiciest noodles in the world so you don’t have to

If it’s true that spicy food helps you live longer, then we’re pretty sure this guy who ate the world’s spiciest noodles just added an extra 50 years to his life. According to Uproxx, a YouTuber named Ben has made a name for himself by traveling all over the world eating foods that would prompt most of us to run away screaming in horror.

Ben has sampled everything from cobra blood to pure fish butter (WTF), but recently met his match when he literally set his taste buds aflame with a bowl of spicy noodles from Abang Adek in Indonesia. The fiery dish contains 100 smashed bird’s eye chilis, and judging by the look on Ben’s face, he had second thoughts before he even set eyes on his latest food challenge.

Despite the fact that his friend deemed the noodles way too hot to eat after a couple bites, Ben decided to go big or go home (with a stomachache):

So, here’s a word to the wise: If you eat something that causes you to sweat, strip out of your clothing and wince in pain, it’s probably not a good idea to continue ingesting it.

But since Ben is obviously a food-eating champ, he didn’t allow a little mind-numbingly hot food to derail his mission. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yKWZwv4KUo

Earlier this year, a survey predicted spicy foods would be on trend in 2016, but we think we’ll kindly pass on these noodles.
