People are losing it over the Russian curler who fell — because she looks just like Angelina Jolie

Did Angelina Jolie forget to tell us that she took up Olympic curling? Or is that Megan Fox out there on the ice? We’re told the curler in question is Russian Olympian Anastasia Bryzgalova, but we’re going to need to see some I.D. — because she’s the spitting image of Angelina Jolie (and/or Fox, depending on the angle).

On February 8th, Bryzgalova made her Olympic curling debut at the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Games. She took an unfortunate tumble during a recent match, but no one seems to be lingering on it. We’re all too fixed on her oddly familiar face.

Although we swear Bryzgalova, if that is her real name, starred in Mr. & Mrs. Smith — or was it Transformers? — the Olympic website is telling us differently. The 25-year-old curler has a master’s degree from St. Petersburg’s Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport, and Health. There’s no acting on her resumé at all. Huh!

It looks like Bryzgalova is the real curling deal and there’s no conspiracy.

It also looks like we’ll have to break the news to the masses on Twitter who think American actress Angelina Jolie (or Megan Fox) is living a double life as a Russian curler.

That sounds like a good movie premise, though. Hollywood, you there?

The Russian curling mixed doubles team is led by Anastasia Bryzgalova, who looks like Angelina Jolie at 21 if she ever picked up a broom.

Bryzgalova and her curling partner (to whom she is happily married), Alexander Krushelnitskiy, ultimately took home the bronze medal for the mixed doubles event.

No shade towards curling, but we seriously didn’t think the sport could garner so much talk. Thanks to Anastasia Bryzgalova and her Hollywood potential, curling just became a lot more interesting.
