Joining the likes of Tina Fey, Lena Dunham, and her BFF Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Schumer is the latest comedic actress to appear on the cover of Vogue. In the July issue, which was photographed by Annie Leibovitz, Schumer discusses everything from a time in college when she tried channeling Samantha in Sex and the City, to her idol Goldie Hawn, her relationship with boyfriend Ben Hanisch, and the mutual appreciation between herself and Hillary Clinton.

When talking about college, Schumer describes how she lost all her self esteem when she was a freshman, and how it switched the following year. “And then in my sophomore year, I probably had sex with six guys, and I was like, Maybe I’m like Samantha in Sex and the City and I’ll just keep this train movin’ so that I don’t get attached to anybody,” she said, before adding, “And you won’t believe this, but that did not work out. But I always thought that sex was funny. I was always interested in it.” This has been proven many times through Schumer’s sex-positive (and hilarious) approach to the issues women have to face, such as gender bias and sexual double standards.

On her six-month romance with boyfriend Ben Hanisch, Schumer doesn’t shy away from her feelings. “We’re in love,” she said. “And we’re still in total honeymoon phase. It’s a real relationship. Who knows what will happen, but we’re real good right now.” Cue all of your “Awws!”

There is also a hilarious sketch Schumer wrote to accompany the piece, which has her and Anna Wintour trading places for a day. In the video, Schumer and Wintour are challenged to do each other’s jobs, which results in the comedian having to decide between two identical sweaters for a fashion editorial while Vogue’s editor-in-chief takes to the stage to perform a standup routine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

If that sketch didn’t bring you enough joy for the day, we are also treated to an excerpt from Schumer’s upcoming book, The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, which will be released on August 16th.
