Amy Schumer confirms our deepest hope—she’d totes be friends with Lorelai Gilmore
When it comes to brash, bold, hilarious, whip-smart, ridiculously witty women, Amy Schumer is always at the top of our list.
Unless, of course, we broaden the list to include fictional characters, in which case Lorelai Gilmore is tied with Amy for first place.
Which is why, when Lorelai Gilmore (aka Lauren Graham) name-checked Amy Schumer in the trailer for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, our sassy, funny girl crush worlds collided in the best way.
“Do you think Amy Schumer would like me?” Lorelai dreamily asks Rory in the trailer.

OK so 1) of COURSE Amy would love her because who wouldn’t love Lorelai?!
And 2) our Gilmore Girls headcanon now includes a secret friendship between Lorelai and Amy that involves them meeting up for drunken karaoke nights and hand cake and riffing back and forth about Kirk’s latest business idea and/or ridiculous outfit.
