We finally have some info about Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence’s movie
We haven’t stopped freaking out about the movie being written by Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence since it was first announced back in August. That’s mostly because all the details have been kept under pretty tight wraps, so all we’ve been able to do is wonder. But finally Jennifer Lawrence is giving us some much-needed information, and it will get you even more excited.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lawrence spoke about the two characters she and Schumer will play in the film, claiming that even though the two are a perfect pair in real life, they’re going to be polar opposites in the movie. “Amy, in this movie, she has it very together. It’s her lifelong dream to be a flight attendant. She works at the airport,” Lawrence explained. This seems to be a departure from Schumer’s regular roles, like in Trainwreck, in which she played a somewhat hapless woman looking to get her life on track. So what about Lawrence? “I’m a mess,” she reveals.
Don’t worry, though. It’s still going to be a comedy. In fact, Lawrence is worried it could get a little out of hand. “We both have very similar senses of humor, obviously, and aren’t afraid,” she explains, surprising none of us. “Which is a good and bad thing,” she continues. “Because I don’t know what our movie will be rated.”
It’s also going to be all about girl power. Lawrence quieted the speculation about who was going to play their love interests (specifically, were any of her Hunger Games co-stars going to make an appearance?) by quickly saying “No, no, no, no, no — there’s not really boys in it.” Just all Amy and Jen, all the time. We love that.
