Amy Schumer says there’s actually a downside to being BFFs with Jennifer Lawrence

Step aside, Taylor Swift — there’s a new girl squad in town. We’re totally obsessed with Amy Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence’s girlmance (and with the word girlmance). Sure, they don’t boast the numbers the Swiftie squad has, and they might not have a leather-clad music video that serves as an homage to their friendship. But they do go on vacation together, dance on Billy Joel’s piano together and congratulate each other’s success with bouquets of fancy balloons.

Amy opened up about her friendship with Jennifer on stage at the Funny or Die Presents: Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival. She joked that the girlmance comes with a downside — JLaw’s awesomeness sometimes makes her second-guess herself.

“I know you guys look at me and you’re like, ‘You’re a comedian, you’re a model.’ I seriously am always like, ‘Am I f*cuking gorgeous?’” she said. “And then I became friends with Jennifer Lawrence and I was like, ‘Nope!’”

Of course, the comedian is just joking around. We can’t imagine any downsides to being BFFs with Jennifer Lawrence. Or with Amy Schumer, for that matter! Keep being you, ladies — you’re the realest of the real.

“I’m a monnnnster!” she continued, joking in her signature mocking singsong voice. “I just feel like I’m in the movie, Twins, and I’m Danny DeVito when I’m with her.”

Jokes aside, we DO like the idea of Amy and Jennifer sharing the stage. After all, they’re writing a script together about two sisters, and plan to co-star in the project. Hey, maybe they’ll be the next Tina/Amy!
