We have our first look at Amy Schumer’s new comedy special

Amy Schumer has been unstoppable lately. Whether she’s crushing it as an actress, comedian, or activist; it seems like there’s nothing she can’t do. In May, Schumer announced another major upcoming project — an HBO comedy special — and after months of anticipation, the network has finally released the first teaser trailer. And yes, it’s edgy, razor-sharp and HILARIOUS.

The special was shot at Schumer’s May 29 show at the Apollo Theater in New York, and will be her first stand-up special since 2012’s Amy Schumer: Mostly Sex Stuff. Given how much she’s accomplished since then, we can’t wait to see what she brings to the stage.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Schumer wrote the show herself, and served as executive producer along with Mike Berkowitz and Jimmy Miller. But most excitingly, Chris Rock served as the special’s director — making it the stuff comedy dreams are made of. Rock has five legendary HBO comedy specials under his belt, so, yeah, he knows what he’s doing.

The teaser trailer is a little NSFW, in your typical Amy Schumer NSFW way — with tons of jokes poking fun of herself and her love of wine. Check it out below, and tune in to HBO on Saturday, October 17th at 10PM for the premiere of Amy Schumer Live At The Apollo!
