Amy Schumer is keeping the legacy of Backstreet Boys alive in the silliest and most wonderful way
It’s official- Amy Schumer is having the best vacation ever. Last week she got her boat trip on with her high school girlfriends (and, and, and special guest star Jennifer Lawrence) in the Hamptons and we got that badass shot of Schumer and JLaw getting their speedboat on (and that other badass shot of the ladies doing a human pyramid on a boat).
A week later Amy is BACK on a boat, this time in Switzerland with her sister Kim Caramele (AKA writer/producer on Inside Amy Schumer) and she’s upping the ante re: her boat antics by transforming her sea voyage into a music video custom-made for Instagram.
In the vid, which she posted to her Insta yesterday, Schumer and her sister rock out on the boat to Backstreet Boys’ second-ever single, and one of our favorite boy band slow-ish jams, the 1997 classic “As Long as You Love Me.”
We love how Amy goes full-out here (Kim keeps her moves tight to let her sister have the spotlight). We have to remember some of Amy’s moves for the next time we dance up a storm. Until then, thank you Amy, for reminding us just how fun it is to jam to Backstreet Boys and for giving us permission to celebrate #TBT every day of the week. We’re making a “There was never a musical phenomenon greater than 90’s Boy Bands” Spotify playlist right now to commemorate the awesomeness.
