Amy Schumer tipped her waiter 1,000% and now we love her even more

We already knew Amy Schumer was one of the best humans ever to walk the earth, but she just upped her lovable levels big time. According to Page Six, Schumer was eating at Peter’s Clam Bar, a 75-year-old historic seafood restaurant in Long Island, NY, when she did something so awesome — she tipped her waiter 1,000%. Now, the average tip at a restaurant is somewhere between 15 and 20%, give or take, so Amy seriously upped the ante.

According to a witness at the restaurant (“witness” sounds so murder/mystery, which this was definitely not), Schumer got into an “engaging, animated conversation with her server, Ryan.” Sometime during the conversation, Ryan mentioned that he’s “a college student working two jobs to fund his education.” Schumer clearly felt a connection with her waiter, because when the bill came, she reportedly left a $500 tip on a $49 meal.

If this heartwarming story of generosity and kindness is true (DON’T LIE TO US PAGE SIX) it only solidifies our aspirations to be Amy’s best friend forever. We’re pretty sure Ryan the waiter probably feels the same way too.

In honor of Amy Schumer being just generally the best, here’s a clip of her April appearance on Ellen. Just because.
