Not a drill, Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman have a brand new show together

Happy birthday slash Merry Christmas slash whatever holiday you’d prefer to celebrate here, Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman are reuniting for another NBC show. Sadly, it’s not for more Parks and Recreation, but anything that puts two of our faves on the screen together is high up on the list of “things we want.”

Poehler and Offerman will co-host the series, called Making It, an unscripted competition show where contestants will “tackle projects based on a new theme, with the level of difficulty steadily increasing.”

This will be Poehler and Offerman’s first foray into the unscripted space, and frankly it’s the first time we’ve felt motivated to venture into a new competition show in a while, because they’re the hosts of our dreams.

When asked about the show, Poehler said:

“I’m thrilled to be celebrating artists who make things by hand, and I’m looking forward to finally conquering my fear of paper mache."

Similarly comical and on brand, Nick Offerman offered (we’ve been looking for a reason to say Offerman offered for so long, so thanks, guys):

“People who make things are my favorite kind of folk. Practical, clever and terrific in a pinch. That makes me tickled pink to have a front row seat at this prodigious display of talent, and admiring and cheering on an amazing crop of American makers. Plus, Amy and I have a strong tradition of tomfoolery so let’s see if we don’t have some good fun.

The new series has a six-episode season one order from NBC, so this is not a drill. This is definitely happening. Obviously, each season will crown a winner, but we think we’re ALL winners since we’re going to get to watch Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman banter off of one another once again.
