People are going CRAZY over this video of an ‘American Loch Ness Monster’
Halloween is over, but one monster might still be lurking. At least, one very specific, water-dwelling monster who has been spotted in the Chena River in Fairbanks, Alaska. People are comparing Alaska’s “Ice Monster” to the Loch Ness monster, which may sound a little crazy, but it’s for good reason.
The reason? Because IT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE LOCH NESS MONSTER!!
A short video of the unidentified swimming animal (object?) has popped up on the internet, and people are naturally freaking the freak out.
Backstory: An Alaska Bureau of Land Management employee in Fairbanks was observing the ice on the river last week when he saw something moving its way up the river. So he did what any other human would do — pulled out his camera and took a video.
Take a look:
Note: Some scary music and a change in speed have been added for effect, according to Good Morning America.
“Our employees did not investigate. It’s kind of far out in the middle of the river, the Bureau of Land Management - Alaska explained on Facebook. “Video was taken right by our BLM Fairbanks District Office facing downstream. We’re not sure what it is. We’re letting you all be the judge.
Of course, when anything is left to the internet to decide, people get creative.
Some people are saying the creature looks like a giant arctic crocodile, an Alaskan sturgeon, or a bull shark. Others think it’s a “beavegator” or a “zombie salmon” (which are interesting theories, but don’t make a whole lot of sense), and others are comparing it to the legend of Scotland’s Loch Ness Monster, except now it’s in America.
What do you think? Is it an American Loch Ness Monster or something, you know, more plausible like a crocodile?
