Forget Evan Peters, we just got another surprise “American Horror Story” cast member and Twitter lost all chill
American Horror Story: Spoilers.
Yes, yes, during “Chapter 5,” Evan Peters’ character on American Horror Story was finally revealed. He’s playing (the actor?) Edward Mott, and we’ve got LOTS of questions. All along we knew he’d be showing up at some point this season, and for the past four episodes we’ve known that eventually, his beautiful face would appear.
But how about a long-time American Horror Story cast member we weren't expecting?
This entire season has been shrouded in secrecy, and while we hoped and prayed that more familiar faces would show up, we finally got another one. No, it’s not Jessica Lange, but the possibility of Jessica Lange showing up just increased by like 500%. Why? Because during “Chapter 5,” Frances Conroy appeared and everyone was like WHAAAAAT??
Followed by OMGGGGG.
She plays matriarch of the Polk family, and it turns out she (along with her family) have been working with The Butcher this whole time. The Polk family is allowed to stay on the land as long as they, uh, help The Butcher when she needs it. Like, when she needs to give a blood sacrifice to the land. If The Butcher can’t find someone to sacrifice, the Polks step in and find an unwilling victim.
It's a lot. But you know what? We're just SO HAPPY to have the fabulous Frances back.
