It’s official! Ryan Murphy announced the American Horror Story Season 10 cast, and the Supreme is back
Update, February 26th, 2020, 1:21 p.m. ET: After pinkie promising fans that she’d be back for American Horror Story Season 10, Sarah Paulson has officially joined the cast. Ryan Murphy announced the lead cast today, and there are some returning fan-favorites, some omissions, and some new actors that have us thinking they should have always been in American Horror Story. Macaulay Culkin, we’re talking to you—welcome!
Showrunner Murphy posted a two-part video to his Instagram today, listing several actors’ names on an ocean coastline backdrop. The first video listed Culkin and Paulson, alongside Kathy Bates, Billie Lourd, Leslie Grossman, and Evan Peters. The second added Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, and Finn Wittrock.

It’s honestly hard to believe that Culkin hasn’t been in this show all along. He’s such a perfect fit for the Ryan Murphy universe.
THAT’S IT.

Speaking of Roberts, fans quickly noticed the star’s absence from the list, as she’s appeared in five seasons of American Horror Story, including last year’s 1984. Angela Bassett is also MIA. false

What could the ocean mean? Or the song playing in the background? We’ll have to wait for the upcoming American Horror Story Season 10 to find out.
Original post, January 10th, 2020: Thank you, lord, High Priestess, Supreme—whoever controls the universe! Sarah Paulson is officially returning to American Horror Story and will play a “central character” in the forthcoming 10th season of the anthology series. It looks like 2020 won’t be so bad, after all.
As she should be, obviously.
This confirmation comes after showrunner Ryan Murphy told Deadline in November 2019 that “fan-favorite actors” would be reuniting come Season 10. “I’ve been quietly reaching out to various people,” he told the publication, without divulging who exactly he had talked to at that point.
He believed that American Horror Story was perhaps in danger of being capped by FX at Season 10. However, FX announced on January 9th that AHS will be returning for three more seasons after the 10th. So there’s plenty of time for Murphy to make up for Season 9, AHS: 1984, during which we didn’t see the likes of crowd favorites, including Paulson, Jessica Lange, and Evan Peters.

We’re not saying that Season 9 was bad, per se. It just felt a bit empty without the familiar faces we’re so used to seeing—save for Emma Roberts and Billie Lourd, who led the cast of new characters in 1984.
So, if Paulson is back for AHS Season 10, will she also hang around for Seasons 11 through 13?

Let’s all just admit it: The show just isn’t the same without her. No shade, no hate! It’s just not.

The chaos can finally cease because all is right within the world again. Sarah Paulson is back on familiar American Horror Story ground, so we can all rest easy.
Now let’s turn our attention to Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Jessica Lange, and Season 1 star Connie Britton, shall we?
