Get excited, “American Horror Story” Season 7 will feature characters from “Freak Show”
As you’re probably well aware by now, all seasons of American Horror Story are connected together. HOW? Good question, as we’re still trying to figure that out ourselves. There have been tiny breadcrumbs scattered throughout each season, tying them to other seasons — whether via events, locations, or people — and as we get more and more seasons of AHS, these connections start to become clearer. Sort of.
Now, adding to this ever evolving AHS mythology, American Horror Story mastermind, Ryan Murphy, is once again talking about the fact that Season 7 of the anthology series will feature characters from Freak Show.
This tidbit had been previously teased, but now we’ve got a little bit more information. According to Murphy, Season 7 will be “a modern-day story.”
LOL, but okay, now we need to know what “modern-day” means in the world of American Horror Story. Roanoke was set modern-day, and PRETTY SURE we kept ending up in colonial Roanoke, like, all the time.
The bigger question here, though, is just how Freak Show characters will be incorporated in, considering that it’s “modern-day.” Freak Show was set in 1952, and if modern-day is present day…welp, everyone from Freak Show would be very old, and/or dead. And since you’re wondering, Jimmy Darling would be like, 80-ish (and sadly, we know Elsa Mars is dead).
So, what kind of connections between a modern-day Season 7 and Freak Show are we even talking about?? ¯_(ツ)_/¯ If this isn’t enough to AHS-stress you out today, it’s already being teased that the theme of Season 7 will be kept tightly under wraps until the very last second, just like Season 6.
Might as well go ahead and settle in. It’s going to be a long, and bumpy, ride to AHS Season 7.
