Evan Peters just transformed into Andy Warhol for “American Horror Story,” and you’ve got to see it to believe it

In August it was revealed that Evan Peters would play *multiple* characters on American Horror Story: Cult. His primary part is that of Kai Anderson, but he’ll also assume the roles of Charles Manson, Jim Jones, David Koresh, and Andy Warhol (and possibly others).

At last, we just got our first look at Peters as one of those infamous figures: Andy Warhol.

American Horror Story co-creator Ryan Murphy posted the photo to his Instagram with the caption, “Evan Peters or Andy Warhol?” And honestly, it’s hard to say.

Take a look at the real-life Peters and Warhol — a leader in the pop art movement, who had (and still has) a cult following — for further comparison:

Now, what’s the deal with Warhol in relation to AHS: Cult?

So far, this season has focused on Kai’s crew and the ways they’ve terrorized their community, and we have yet to see Evans as Warhol or the other infamous figures. But a couple months back, Murphy revealed Lena Dunham’s role — and her role sheds some insight into what we can expect from Warhol’s part in the story.

"Lena Dunham is playing Valerie Solanas, who attempted to shoot Andy Warhol, because she felt denied the cult of personality that was Warhol and the Factory at the time, Murphy said during a Q&A in August. “The episode [is] called ‘Valerie Solanas Died For Your Sins, Scum Bag.’ That episode is about female rage then and in the country now."

It’s unclear when we’ll see Peters as Warhol on American Horror Story: Cult, but given that Murphy just posted this ‘lil preview, we’re guessing we’ll see him sooner rather than later.
