There are so many reasons to love America Ferrera. From starring in some of our favorite shows and movies to being an outspoken advocate for equal rights, it’s clear that she’s beautiful both inside and out — which is why it was no surprise at all that Ferrera’s geometric cutout dress (her latest of many #RedCarpetGoals outfits) had her looking casually stunning this weekend.

Ferrera wore the simple (but gorge) gown to the Human Rights Campaign‘s 2017 Los Angeles Gala Dinner on Saturday. The Superstore actress was one of two celebrities honored at the event, alongside Katy Perry, for her advocacy work in the LGBTQ community.

Ferrera turned heads the moment she stepped onto the gala’s blue carpet, and for good reason.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress rocked the navy gown with a fun geometric design and spaghetti straps. She paired the dress with a deep red lip, and similarly shaded burgundy platform sandals and a clutch. According to the Daily Mail, Ferrera’s embroidered gown is by designer Stella Nolasco. Her hair was worn in a simple wavy updo that complimented the casual-chic look perfectly. Head to toe, it’s definitely an ensemble we’ll be copying at just about every summer wedding we’ll attend later this year.

And here’s America sharing a quick peck with Lena Dunham as they arrived on the blue carpet, because why not?

Dunham wasn’t there just to plant a friendly smooch on her friend — the Girls star presented her longtime pal with the organization’s Ally for Equality award, too. Dunham introduced Ferrera in an emotional tribute that had both friends praising each other and shedding happy tears for what they’ve each accomplished in the entertainment industry, and in advocating for human rights.
