America Ferrara seriously CRUSHES it as Missy Elliot in “Lip Sync Battle”
In a match only in our Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants dreams, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn are battling it out this week on Lip Sync Battle. In anticipation for the showdown, the show has released a teaser, and let’s just say, Ferrera channels Missy Elliot big time.
The Superstore star dons an iconic Elliot track suit and hat while rapping along to Elliot’s 2002 hit “Gossip Folks.”
And yes, it’s as epic as it sounds. We’re not sure what we love more. The fact that our absolute favorite actresses chose to lip synch to one of our absolute favorite musicians, or the fact that she committed 100 percent (not that we’d expect anything less).

The duo teased their appearance on the Spike show a few months ago, with Tamblyn posting a photo of the two and host LL Cool J to her Instagram:
It’s been eleven years since Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants first premiered, but since then, Ferrera and Tamblyn, along with Blake Lively and Alexis Bledel, have remained close friends, which brings us SO much joy.

We’re seriously so stoked to see Tibby and Lena reunited on screen! Maybe America and Amber will feature Alexis and Blake as their special guests. We’re keeping our fingers crossed and we can’t wait for them to battle it out on Wednesday!
