We now know Amber Tamblyn’s daughter’s name — thanks to a note from Hillary Clinton

Remember when we thought Amber Tamblyn may have named her daughter Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey Jr? Well, as it turns out, she didn’t. Hillary Clinton just told us Tamblyn and David Cross’s baby’s name, and it’s much simpler and sweeter than previously reported.

And by “previously reported,” we mean Tamblyn hilariously gave out the fake name herself. (But it would have been pretty amazing if it was real.) Two weeks ago, Tamblyn posted the most adorable Instagram video of her brand new baby’s foot with a caption revealing her pretend name. She wrote,

"David and I are proud to announce the birth of our daughter, Dauphinoise Petunia Brittany Scheherazade Von Funkinstein Mustard Witch RBG Cross Tamblyn-Bey jr. #TheFutureIsFemale"

In a letter sent directly to Tamblyn and Cross’ daughter, Hillary Clinton addressed the little girl by her real name — Marlow Alice Cross. Tamblyn posted the letter to Instagram, because it’s not every day your child receives a personal letter from the first ever female U.S. presidential candidate.

"The one day I decide to put mascara on Hillary Clinton sends us this letter for our daughter," Tamblyn wrote. "Crying now. A letter from one spectacular woman who has lived so much to another who has only just begun. My heart is as full as this diaper I'm about to change. Thank you, Hillary, grandmother to us all."

Tamblyn has been a strong supporter of Clinton’s, and Clinton clearly appreciates her love and support.

Clinton is so kind and thoughtful, not only for sending the best note ever, but also by informing the world of Marlow’s real name — even if that wasn’t her intention.
