Amber Heard Is “Excited About Working and Filming Again,” Says Source
The actress moved to Spain last year to get a “fresh start” after the trial with Johnny Depp.
Amber Heard is ready to “focus on things that she loves,” a source tells People. It’s been one year since Heard was ordered to pay $10.35 million in damages following ex-husband Johnny Depp’s defamation case.
Since the six-week trial, which was broadcast live, the Aquaman star has secluded herself from Hollywood — and the U.S. as a whole. According to the insider, Heard packed up her belongings, including 2-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige, and moved to Spain.
“She has been living in Spain, where she gets more privacy,” the source told People, adding Heard “couldn’t wait to leave the U.S. with her daughter.” They noted that “the trial was beyond stressful for her and she just wanted to start fresh out of the country.”
Going forward, Heard is excited to put her ex and the controversy trial behind her. She’s also eager to get back to TV and film. “She is excited about working and filming again,” the source said.
Heard was reportedly left “exhausted and disappointed about the trial.” The source close to the actress said Heard “felt she was mistreated.”
Following her time in Spain, Heard “has new energy and is focused on things that she loves,” assured the source.
Meanwhile, Depp, who was initially ordered to pay Heard $2 million, has been “focused on work.” According to People, he’s looking to make his “comeback” with his upcoming French film Jeanne Du Barry.
He’s currently single and living in Europe.
No word yet on what genre of work Heard is interested in getting back into, but her fan base is eager for her grand return to the big screen.
