Allison Williams revealed her one regret — That she didn’t get enough screen time on “Girls”
Allison Williams is so much like her on-screen persona Marnie. Fun fact: Allison Williams revealed she wanted more screen time on Girls and we would’ve liked that. Plus, she opens up about her one regret from her time on the series and it just makes us love her more.
HBO’s Girls is almost back for its final season and before we return to the wonderful land of Girls, we’re learning all about the cast and some of their secrets. Williams who plays Marnie Michaels on the drama opened up about her desire for more time on screen in a new interview with Glamour for their February 2017 issue.
"I started playing one person, then she evolved so much. I got to exercise all kinds of muscles," Williams told Glamour about playing Marnie.
The 28-year-old actress also revealed what her “least satisfying” part of the job was throughout the six seasons.
"I always wanted to be in the show more. That was my M.O. every year," the Peter Pan Live! actress admitted. "I wanted to be a piece of furniture in Hannah's apartment, if that's what it took."
“Jemima just said, ‘That’s so typical,’” executive producer Jenni Konner added in. “I was about to say, ‘That’s so on-brand.’”
“Listen, I’m consistent,” Williams replied. “You are nothing if not consistent,” Konner concluded.
What would Marnie be if she wasn’t so consistent?
Williams has clearly nailed her role as the prissy, straight-laced girl who went a little wild as she grew up and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Tune into the beginning of the end when Girls Season 6 premieres on HBO on February 12th.
