Allison Williams dyed her hair bright blonde and wow!

Brunette locks, be gone! Because Allison Williams has blonde hair now and looks like a totally different person. Seriously, we’re shocked that we even recognized her with this bold change.

The Girls actress is Allure magazine’s March cover girl and she’s definitley making a statement. We are all used to Williams as Marnie on the HBO series, with her beautiful and signature brown hair.

In fact, her new ‘do is SO platinum that we are both shocked by it and obsessed with it at the same time.

“I like it,” Williams told Allure about her bright new hue. “Especially this blonde — it feels like it is just a new twist on the same old me.”

"It's just hair! But it's fun. Maybe I'll become this gorgeous bombshell vixen," she joked. "Or maybe I'll still just be the adult-spelling-bee spirit I've always been."

Even when posing for the cover, she knew that people wouldn’t believe it was her.

Seriously, she is SO blonde now.

“I bet people won’t recognize me, and that’s gonna be a fun reveal with my friends,” Williams admitted. Could you imagine going to coffee with your BFF and she shows up with this hair color? Keep in mind, she’s always been a brunette…it would be wild.

The Connecticut native also joked about her stage name, revealing if it was different maybe she would’ve been blonde all along.

"I think if I’d used my middle name professionally — Howell Williams — I'd have a totally different career," she told the publication. "I'd be an indie darling. I'd be fighting with Greta Gerwig for parts. I'd have gone blonde earlier."

While the 28-year-old star definitely dared to be platinum for the photo shoot, over the weekend she attended the Super Bowl and was back to her dark roots. So clearly, she wore a wig for the shoot.

Then on Wednesday, the Get Out actress shared what it looks like IRL to be that blonde, and we’re starting to think it might be the real deal.

“Here it is IRL. Still getting used to it, but I dig it. Thank you @auracolorist and @rebekahforecast for helping me say goodbye to Marnie — and to @allure for the nudge! ?,” she wrote on her blonde photo.

Welcome to the actual blonde side, Allison!
