Alison Brie revealed how Dave Franco proposed
They are one of our favorite recently-married couples, and it’s about time we get to hear their proposal story. In an interview with Larry King, Alison Brie revealed how Dave Franco proposed — and we’re here for every moment.
It all took place in Big Sur (which, for starters, is a pretty epic location to pop the question), and Brie recalled that she had a pretty funny reaction at first.
"I was so shocked that I actually burst out laughing, and I asked him a number of times if he was being serious before saying yes," she told King.
Hey, it’s good to be armed with all the information before accepting!
Of course, she did say yes, and the two lovebirds have been happily married since March of this year. They’re notoriously private, so there aren’t many photos of them together on Brie’s Instagram. But there is this, which definitely makes us smile.
And how could we forget — the playful pair are acting in a movie together! Cannot wait.
In the same interview, Brie also talked about their honeymoon phase and offered one reason why their relationship has been so successful: “We were together five years before we got married and already had such a strong foundation between us. That’s the key, I think — being sweet and loving to each other every day.” Well, that just makes us melt.
It’s a great reminder to approach each and every day with that mindset, whether we’re in a relationship or not, because sweet and loving gestures never go unnoticed.
