Today in perfection: Alicia Vikander slays in this sparkly silver dress

It’s not every day that you get to stroll down the red carpet wearing an eye-catching metallic Louis Vuitton dress with a dramatic slit up the side, but that’s exactly what The Danish Girl‘s Alicia Vikander just did last night. After all, she has a leading role in the new Jason Bourne film opposite Matt Damon, so it’s safe to say all eyes were on her at the London premiere.

But inquiring minds want to know–did she deliver? The answer, of course is a resounding YES.

This dress is quite a departure from the bright yellow number she wore to this year’s Academy Awards (where she won Best Supporting Actress), but either way she pulls it off effortlessly (a hard thing to do when you run the risk of resembling a disco ball). And as you can see, Vikander also glows with confidence.

Here she is sharing the stage with her co-stars, Matt Damon and Julia Stiles. They’re all wearing a little silver, which blends together beautifully. Metallic has proved popular this season with stars like Taylor Swift, and hopefully the chic trend will never go out of style as it adds a classic touch.

Since her star-turning role in Ex Machina, Vikander’s career has been going from strength to strength. She’s currently tackling the role of Lara Croft in a remake of Tomb Raider. Not bad for someone who’s only 27! And somehow through all this, Vikander even finds time to be Michael Fassbender’s girlfriend.
