Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just compared Sarah Palin to your “grandpa’s emails,” and it’s FIRE

After becoming the youngest woman ever elected to Congress, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is also making a name for herself as the queen of clapbacks. As many will recall, the Congresswoman-elect recently showed her Twitter prowess when conservative TV host John Cardillo shared a video clip in which she slightly misspoke. Cardillo proceeded to mock the 29-year-old politician, invoking the Electoral College in his attack on her. “@Ocasio18 is a perfect example of why the Electoral College is so important,” he wrote. “Without it, the people who voted for her would make decisions for us.”

Ocasio-Cortez wasted no time in setting the record straight.

"Ah yes, God forbid a diverse, working-class district (that more accurately represents modern America) actually have equal say in our democracy as your weird uncle with questionable racial beliefs who shares fake conspiracy memes on Facebook," she replied.

And now, she’s at it again—this time with a clapback against former vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

In a November 19th tweet, Palin shared the above clip in which Ocasio-Cortez misspoke, writing, “YIKES: Ocasio-Cortez Fumbles Basic Civics TWICE In 1 Statement.” (This coming from the woman who once famously could not name a single newspaper.)

Ocasio-Cortez again wasted no time in…well, wasting Palin.

OH SNAP. Things just got real.

In all seriousness, as much as we’re here for on-point Twitter clapbacks, at the end of the day nothing is more important than making concrete and positive policy changes for working (and often struggling) Americans. And that’s why we’re really all about Ocasio-Cortez.

Hear, hear.
