Alexa Chung is releasing her own fashion line and we’re low-key obsessed

In our minds, fashionista and good-natured Alexander Skarsgard heckler Alexa Chung can do no wrong, from her perfectly-coiffed lob to her spot-in fashion collabs.

But the latest bit of news about the model, journalist, and fashion muse is totally the best—Chung is coming out with her very own fashion line.

“Surprise! I’m starting my own fashion label!” she said in a release. Her eponymous label, ALEXACHUNG, will feature all the usual suspects in her first ready-to-wear collection, including Cool Girl denim, separates, eveningwear, jewelry, and shoes.

And don’t expect to just pop in to your local store to buy these duds (though you certainly could score them at shops like SSENSE and Selfridges). Chung’s also developing an interactive e-commerce platform that mixes your shopping experience with editorial content and some (yet-to-be-named) interactive things, which is sure to be retail gold.

“I have been fortunate enough to have found a wonderful team from various corners of the fashion industry and beyond to help realize my vision and make this lifelong dream a reality,” Chung said in the statement.

“We hope to bring you wearable, cool clothing you can live in and love in, whilst exploring the sartorial relationship between masculinity and femininity, something that has been a cornerstone of my personal style since I was old enough to dress myself.”

Now, onto the bad news—Chung’s first solo collection isn’t launching until May 2017, meaning we’ll have to wait almost a year for her chic, off-duty style. So, guys … is it 2017 yet?
