Alessia Cara’s Lorde impression will blow you away

The Canadian-born singer, Alessia Cara, killed her version of “Baa Baa Black Sheep” with Lorde as her musical impression for The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Friday night. The beloved segment features Alessia Cara not only sounding exactly like Lorde with a cute rendition, but she also nails a Lorde-esque hand gesture to complete the entire impersonation. Of course, Fallon reacted the way he always does: laughing, pointing, and more laughing. In addition to Lorde, Cara covered Nicki Minaj, Ariana Grande, and Axl Rose on the show. In her interview, Cara talks about predictions, life goals, and animated movies.

Cara gave a sweet shoutout on her Twitter account after the episode aired last night.

The singer is best known for her sleeper hit, “Here” from 2015 and at the 2016 Juno Awards, she was awarded Breakthrough Artist of the Year. But her impressions on Fallon Friday night were a real return to her roots. Remember, she began her career on YouTube, singing cover songs into her channel for subscribers and viewers. Obviously, she’s still got it.
