Alanis Morrissette shared the most gorgeous picture of her newborn baby girl

One of our favorite lady rockers, Alanis Morissette, just gave birth to her second child with husband Mario “Souleye” Treadway, and we could not be more thrilled for them. Yesterday, she announced the birth of her daughter named Onyx Solace Morissette-Treadway via Twitter, along with an adorable photo. The bundle of joy was delivered on June 23. false

Onyx Solace is certainly quite the creative name — it’s so Alanis — but compared to her five-year-old brother’s moniker, Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway, it’s just keeping with tradition.

On June 28, Alanis shared a serene nude photo of herself floating in a pool, accompanied by a wise quote by Ever Imre: “You have to be extra gentle around ladies because they are the most helpful people in the world ’cause they make persons.” What a smart kid.

It seems that post was a clue to Alanis’s new chapter of motherhood, because the photo was posted five days after Onyx Solace’s birth.

Hopefully the newly-expanded family is enjoying some much needed bonding time. Alanis must be saying “thank you” quite often these days.
