Alan Cumming’s hilarious Oprah-obsession story ends with the best photo ever

What would you do if you had a chance to meet Oprah? CBS’ Instinct star Alan Cumming shared a story about the time he took a friend to meet the media maven. Oh, and it was absolutely hilarious. As you’ve probably guessed, Cumming’s friend was anything but calm, cool and collected. But, hey! If we were in his shoes, we probably wouldn’t have been able to keep our composure either.

While paying a visit to The Graham Norton Show, The Good Wife star gave the complete play by play of the scenario. And it went a little something like this: Cumming took his friend Eddie along to an event where Oprah was being awarded for her greatness. Eddie, being the optimistic fanboy that he is, wanted to grab a photo with the actor and mogul at all costs. Cumming didn’t expect Eddie to get his wish, but in the end, he did. And they now how a hilarious photo with the queen to prove it.

Hilarious, right? Even cooler, their chance encounter actually inspired the title of Cumming’s new book, You Gotta Get Bigger Dreams: My Life in Stories and Pictures. Thanks to his graciousness, we, too, can obsess over this awesome Oprah photo. Over, and over, and over again.

If we took anything away from Cumming’s tale, we know that no dream is too big. Anything is possible, especially if you approach it with an optimistic attitude. Even rubbing elbows with the queen, Oprah! And, we guess, we have Cumming’s pal Eddie to thank for the reminder.
