Airhead glitter shots are a thing, and where have they been all our lives?!
Given our enthusiasm for all types of candy, as well as, well…shots…we’re pretty intrigued by the idea of turning airheads into glitter shots. Where does the glitter come in, you ask? Well it’s edible glitter (because who doesn’t want everything they eat to literally sparkle?). Trust us, it all makes perfect sense. This recipe comes from food stylist Tyna Hoang via Cosmo Bites, and it’s here to bring glittery, edible excitement to your life.
Because non-edible shot glasses are a thing of the past, so let’s all get with the program!
All you need are Airheads, some Baileys (or your drink of choice), edible glitter, corn syrup, mini marshmallows, and whipped cream. And this awesome video tutorial:
If you missed a step or two, we’ve got the recipe right here courtesy of Cosmo. It’s super easy.
Cut an Airhead into a circle 1½ inches in diameter for the base of your shot glass. Then wrap a second Airhead around the circular cutout, pressing them together to seal. Cover the Airglass shot glass in corn syrup and coat entirely in edible glitter. Fill the shot glass with Bailey’s. Garnish with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and more edible glitter!
Seriously, the next time you invite friends over, surprise them with these! It will impress the pants off them.
You could even mix it up with some glitter cranberry mimosas, because it’s always an appropriate time for sparkly drinks. And after a long day, glitter just makes everything better (glitter galaxy donuts, anyone?). Yup, it’s the little things.
