Here’s where you can get affordable versions of Krysten Ritter’s goth Marilyn Monroe dress
Positively owning the red carpet at last night’s Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York, Jessica Jones star Krysten Ritter rocked a floor-length, Marilyn Monroe-approved gown — and looked like a total goth queen.
The dress, from Cushnie et Ochs’ spring/summer 2017 collection, features a thigh-high slit and a one-shoulder strap, and it totally brought out Krysten’s dark side — in the best possible way. Topping off the dress with a black cape and insanely fabulous red satin Nicholas Kirkwood shoes, Krysten showed us exactly what Jess Jones would wear to a black-tie party (if she ever got out of her leather jacket).
And here’s the dress at New York Fashion Week, in case you were curious.

Gorgeous.
We love this gown because it feels like something Marilyn Monroe would have worn (if black was her thing!). In fact, it reminds us a lot of this dress worn by Marilyn to the 1954 premiere of There’s No Business like Show Business.
So iconic!
While Ritter’s (soon-to-be iconic!) dress isn’t yet available from Cushnie et Ochs online, there are other — more affordable — versions out there that we are delighted to share. Because you really deserve to shine, goth queens.
