It’s time to pretend we’re in Italy with Starbucks’ new affogato-style Frappuccinos

We’ve seen countless “rainbow” Starbucks drinks — from purple to pink to orange to blue. While we totally love these colorful drinks, we’re always excited for new Frappuccino news, and now, we’ve got our wish. We have several whole new Frappuccinos that we can buy starting TODAY (!!!): affogato-style.

In case you didn’t know, an affogato is an Italian dessert that consists of a scoop of vanilla gelato or ice cream with a shot of hot espresso poured over. So, you know, heaven on Earth. The new Frappuccino is inspired by the affogato, and it’s a shot of espresso poured over a Frappuccino to create “creamy pockets of coffee and beautiful marbling,” Starbucks said in a statement emailed to HelloGiggles.

And we’d have to agree — the affogato-style Frappuccinos are certainly gorgeous.

Although you can technically get any Frappuccino affogato-style, Starbucks is specifically featuring the vanilla bean, caramel, and mocha flavors — and we can totally see why. These new revamped Frappuccinos sound like the absolute perfect thing to cool off this summer, and we can’t wait to get our hands on one.

Affogato-style Frappuccinos are available at Starbucks stores in the U.S. and Canada beginning today throughout the whole summer. Oh, Starbucks, you’re so good to us.
