Adele’s album is finally on the horizon! Here’s what we know
It’s been four years since Adele’s last album, 21. The singer has been busy in that time, raising her son and working on a new album. And now a release date for the new record is finally within sight! Add this one to the list of reasons we can’t wait for fall.
Though a release date hasn’t been totally confirmed yet, odds are good that we’ll have more Adele in our lives before the end of 2015. According to Billboard, Adele is gearing up for a November release date—just in time for those rainy drives!
So far, we’ve learned that both super-producer Max Martin and artist/songwriter/producer Danger Mouse have made contributions to the album. In addition, singer-songwriter Tobias Jesso Jr. has written a “reportedly standout” track, which is not surprising considering the beauty of his own music (listen to “Hollywood” if you know what’s good for you). One Republic’s Ryan Tedder has also contributed on the songwriting front, making this his second collaboration with Adele since 21‘s “Rumor Has It.”
Although further details remain scant, Ed Sheeran has reportedly heard rave reviews about her forthcoming LP. He told UK Capital FM, “I haven’t heard [Adele’s album], but everyone I know who’ve worked on it is just like, ‘Dude… that record!’ Apparently, it’s really good.”
It’s Adele. Of course it’s good!
Considering the fact that 21 was the number one selling album in both 2011 and 2012, this follow up LP has some big shoes to fill, but we have no doubt Adele’s gonna set our ears ablaze!
Stay tuned for more details. And for the love of all things beautiful, please listen to her incredible live performance of “Turning Tables.”
