People are obsessed with the way Adam Rippon celebrated his latest performance while still on the ice

While there have been so many standouts at the 2018 Winter Olympics (Chloe Kim, Red Gerard, Vincent Zhou…we could go on), we have a feeling we’ll be hearing Adam Rippon’s name well after the games are over. The talented figure skater performed his short program, earning him an impressive score of 87.95. But it’s what he did once the performance was over that has everybody talking today.
In case you missed it, Rippon has been making waves (in the best way possible) at the 2018 Games. From telling reporters that he and BFF Mirai Nagasu were eating burgers this time four years ago to admitting that he wanted to ask the judges if he could “just have a Xanax” to claiming he just wanted to make “Reese Witherspoon proud,” he’s become a total fan favorite. Not to mention the whole being supremely good at skating thing.
And his most recent on-ice celebration has cemented Rippon even more firmly into our hearts. Here’s a snippet of Rippon’s amazing performance. (He finishes at about 3:08, though we highly recommend watching it in its entirety.)

Adam Rippon has a great long progam, but that short is ELECTRIC! It's so quintessentially Adam. Other guys have the quads, but here, Adam has created something that feels wholly NEW. That step sequence into the layback spin is a like a little pride march on ice. It gave me LIFE.

Oh, and Rippon even slipped in a coy wave to the judges. SLAY. false
And as if all of this weren’t enough to make us love him, Rippon went ahead and answered a serious interview question with THIS:
