Adam Rippon and Reese Witherspoon finally met, and it was worth the wait
While the 2018 Winter Olympics are over, figure skater Adam Rippon’s love for Reese Witherspoon is still going strong. Every interview Rippon gave about his performances was memorable in some way, but after he mentioned that he wanted to “make Reese Witherspoon proud,” we knew he was something special.
The two finally met in person thanks to Stephen Colbert. Both talents appeared on The Late Show on Wednesday, March 7th, and it was magical. Since fate is real, Witherspoon admitted that Rippon was one of her Olympic heroes.
Witherspoon even called the figure skater the “#1 reason to watch the Olympics” via Twitter.

And if you’ll recall, Rippon wasted no time in cranking out a hilarious response to the tweet. “Quick movie idea for you,” he wrote. “You (played by you) tweet me in the middle of the night at the Olympics, and I (played by me) die immediately. Thoughts?”
Witherspoon seemed downright giddy when Colbert said she’d be meeting the athlete. Rippon appeared on the stage and gave Witherspoon a huge hug.

"This is the relationship the world's been waiting for," Witherspoon said, noting that Rippon was handsome and smelled good.
Rippon’s love for Witherspoon apparently started with Legally Blonde, and Witherspoon said that she was first introduced to Rippon through her trainer, who said he was one to watch.
