Actress Aja Naomi King is L’Oréal’s new spokesmodel, and we can’t think of a better match
We always love when we see women of color thriving, so we were extra pumped to hear that How to Get Away with Murder star Aja Noami King is now a face of L’Oréal. The rising actress has joined the ranks of new L’Oréal spokeswomen alongside Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria, Elle Fanning, and Camila Cabello.
In a press statement sent to HelloGiggles, Aja shared how her love of makeup was inspired by watching her mother’s daily routine:
"Growing up, I watched my mom apply her makeup in the morning and wanted so badly to be part of that daily ritual with her. Seeing how much she enjoyed putting makeup on, including her go-to L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Lipcolour, inspired me to love makeup as much as she did. Makeup became my armor growing up. It provided me with a sense of protection and gave me the power and confidence to face the world in the way I wanted."
She added,
"To represent L’Oréal Paris is incredibly overwhelming. I am so excited to help others find and believe in the beauty of who they are because everyone deserves to know their own worth.
She’s an absolutely stunning addition to the L’Oréal team.
We have a feeling this will make her mother proud.
For her first campaign, Aja will represent the new L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Glow collection. The collection features five products that boast the ability to transform you into a glowing beach baby: Glotion Natural Glow Enhancer, Glow Nude Palette, Shimmerista Powder, Glow Amour Glow Boosting Drops and Bronze It Bronzer.
