Even the actor who plays Jaime Lannister on “Game of Thrones” thinks taking down Cersei makes sense
Lately, you may have been hearing some fan theories about Game of Thrones’ Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and how he may kill his twin sister/lover, Cersei (Lena Headey). Now, we learned that even the actor who plays Jaime Lannister on Game of Thrones thinks taking down Cersei makes sense, reported Mashable.
So, the question is: What will happen between Lannister and Cersei in Season 7 of GOT?
While doing press earlier this week for Netflix’s Small Crimes, Coster-Waldau spoke to Mashable about the fan theories.
“I mean I don’t think he — I’m just saying it’s a valid theory, Coster-Waldau told Mashable. “I can see it makes sense, it has a beautiful — it’s a nice circle [that] they are born together in the womb and then he kills her at the end…It makes sense."
However, as much as the above may sound like Coster-Waldau’s on board with the idea of his character killing Cersei, he also said, “I haven’t seen anything yet before Season 7 that would make me believe that he was capable of doing that.
As for within Season 7, though, Coster-Waldau told Mashable, “I don’t know. Well, I do, but you’ll have to watch the show.
ICYMI, back in March, Coster-Waldau talked to The Daily Beast about Season 7 and piqued our interest about Cersei’s fate then, too.
Of Jaime, he said, “He’s been groomed since he was 15 that, whatever his life is, it starts and ends with Cersei. He has to accommodate her. He’s done that his whole life, and he’s reached a moment now where he suddenly has to address it.
Of course, Coster-Waldau leaves us in a TON of suspense until Season 7 of GOT begins on July 16th. Can someone please fast-forward to July 16th rn?!
